PRESS RELEASE
One of the Rocky Mountain School District’s top priorities is to provide a safe learning environment for its students and staff. Today an employee of the District left the premises and upon return, had an accident at school that involved the employee driving their car through a fence. No students or employees were in immediate danger because no one was in the area where the accident occurred. Because the employee appeared to be impaired law enforcement was contacted. The District is currently cooperating with law enforcement during its investigation of this matter. Once the investigation is completed, the District will take appropriate action based on the results of the investigation. During the investigation the employee is on administrative leave. Because of the ongoing investigation and the fact that this is a confidential personnel matter, the District cannot comment further.
