Read - read and summarize chapter in a book or a magazine article of interest. Note title and chapter or magazine and article title 
Write - 3 paragraph essay describing the day using sensory details, complex and compound sentences and figurative language. 
Math - record and cook recipe that concentrates on fractions. Record recipe if it is doubled. 

RMS 6th AND 7th grade
Jan 31st
Read - read and summarize chapter in a book or a magazine article of interest. Note title and chapter or magazine and article title 
Write - 3 paragraph essay describing the day using sensory details, complex and compound sentences and figurative language.

Writing- Write a three point paragraph about your three favorite animals
Science- Help cook a meal or make a snack and describe what you made and how you helped

*Writing- write about their 3 favorite things to do when you have no school. (Write at least 6-10 sentences, using capital letters and punctuation)
*Reading- Read for 20 minutes then write about your book. (Tell if its Fiction or Nonfiction; if it's fiction-write about the characters, setting, and what you read about; if it's nonfiction-tell what your book was about and write down 3 facts that you learned)
*Science- Help cook a meal or make a snack and describe what you made and how you helped.

Draw a picture and write a sentence over what you read using CVC( consonant vowel consonant)and sight words.
 Practice counting to 100 by 1's and 10's. Work a puzzle.
Draw a picture and write  a sentence about the weather. 
Talk about natural resources. Name a few like water, trees, soil, and minerals.

RMS PreK 4, Jan 31st
Theme:  Everyday Helpers
Shape Hunt - Point to items in your home that are shaped like a square, a rectangle, a triangle, and a circle.
Reading - Spend 15-20 minutes reading with your child. If you have books about community helpers available, that would be great. 
Access Unite for Literacy for short theme-related books, with audio available.

Math  - Use crayons or other small objects to make groups that add up to 5.
Letter Hunt  - Write down the names of friends and family members and circle the I's that appear in them.

🥶 Due to inclement weather, Tuesday, Jan 31st will be a Virtual Learning day.
 Teachers have prepared simple review lessons for tomorrow.  I will text each grade level your assignments tonight or in the morning (be patient.) Everything can be done with supplies at home.

ORES Area Tournament 
🏀 Our teams play Tenkiller at Twin Hills tomorrow (west of Muskogee) in the Area Tournament. Girls play at 1:00 and boys at 2:00. Admission is $6 for everyone.  Brackets are on our school website and Facebook. 
💙 Wear your Royal Blue, bring your loudest and proudest cheering voices and cheer on our players as they play to make it to the state tournament!
Remember this… We enter with class, We play with class, We cheer with class, We win/lose with class, We leave with class!
