RMS Parents...... 1. We will be hosting a Drive-Thru Open House on Thursday, August 6th from 4:30 - 7:00 PM. Families will remain in your car as you pick up enrollment forms, athletics paperwork, ask questions and say hello to to Rocky Mountain staff members. We hope to see you there. 2. Need help filling out the form for the Cherokee Nation technology and clothing voucher? We will help you complete that during Open House! 2. If your child has textbooks at home from this past spring, please return those during open house. 3. Reminder to all kindergarten and 7th grade students - if you are in need of a booster shot, you should have received a letter in the mail from us. Make sure you take care of that prior to school starting. 4. We will be posting a link to a survey tomorrow for each family to complete concerning your choice of in-person or virtual, connectivity, etc. Watch for that.

RMS Parents...... 🎒 Free backpack giveaway this evening at New Life Church, beginning at 6:30 PM 😊 Cherokee citizen students need to remember to apply for the technology and clothing stipend. The deadline is August 7th. Each student with a registration number should apply. The link is posted on our school FB, webpage and app 💻 Parent ZOOM meeting concerning Return to Learn plan will be Monday, August 3rd @ 6:30 PM. Login information will be sent in a text on Sunday. 😷 Remember to “stop the spread”. Wear a mask, wash your hands regularly, practice social distancing.

Cherokee Nation’s Respond Recover and Rebuild Education Initiative portal is now live at this link: https://zfrmz.com/ZQH1i5uKRo6sd2oQgsiM Eligible citizens can access the portal to apply for these benefits: Application Deadline: August 7, 2020 before 11:59pm CST (The previously announced school clothing assistance program has been extended. Paper applications already submitted will be processed). Eligibility Requirements Each child may only be reported by one applicant and must be the custodial parent or guardian of the child. Educational Assistance Program Citizenship: Must be Cherokee citizens on or before July 13, 2020 Residency: NO residency requirement Age: Children between ages of five (5) and eighteen (18) years of age on or between the dates of July 1, 2020 and December 30, 2020. Enrollment: Students concurrently enrolled in high school and college will only be eligible for the Higher Education Scholarship Technology Grant. Any applications for this program will be removed from consideration of this program. School Clothes Program Citizenship: Must be Cherokee citizens on or before July 13, 2020 Residency: Must live within the Cherokee Nation jurisdiction. Age: Children between ages of five (5) and eighteen (18) years of age on or between the dates of July 1, 2020 and December 30, 2020. Existing Applications: Any students previously submitted for the School Clothing Voucher Program will be not receive additional funding from this program. Students that have previously submitted will be processed under those guidelines established by Cherokee Nation Human Services. If you have any questions regarding eligibility or submission please call 918-453-5000 to be directed to Cherokee Nation staff assisting with questions.

Reminder........ Cherokee Nation will be distributing milk and fresh produce at Rocky Mountain School this evening beginning at 7:00 PM. There are no requirements to receive these items. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come.

RMS parents - Remember, if you are the weekly meals list, pick up today from 10-12 😊

RMS - since tomorrow is a holiday, remember to pick up weekly meals (breakfast and lunch) on Tuesday from 10:00-12:00.

RMS Parents....... Remember, we will continue to serve “Meals on Mondays through June 22. If you are on the meal list, please come each Monday 10:00-12:00 to pick up weekly meals for your children. If you want to be added to the list or taken off of the list, please call or text my cell, 918-797-0318

RMS Kindergarten Reminder Remember today is our “come and go” kindergarten graduation from 2:00 -4:00 pm. Parents, grandparents, and siblings are welcome to come in and take pictures with the kids. We have scheduled in 30 increments by last names to avoid lengthy wait times . If you are not able to drop by during your scheduled time feel free to drop by any time between 2 and 4 , you may just have a slightly longer wait time . The schedule is as follows . Last names A-F 2:00-2:30 G-K 2:30-3:00 L-R 3:00-3:30 S-Z 3:30-4:00

RMS 8th grade parents Graduation tomorrow afternoon/evening. This is a closed ceremony for graduates, parents, grandparents and siblings. No extended family members. Upon arrival, please stay in your car until we notify you to come in. We will be disinfecting between each family. If anyone in your family is running fever or has symptoms on Covid 19, they should not attend. Once you are done in the gym, if the weather permits, we will change the marquis to include your child’s name. You may also check out the graduation cap and gown so you can take pictures with other family. We ask that you return it by June 1st. If you have any questions, give me a call or text. 918-707-0318.
