💙 Thank you again to all RM parents for your calls and messages of support for our school and our staff. RM will continue to follow CDC guidelines in order to keep health and safety as a top priority. I know it has been overwhelming. Actually, the overall numbers for our county have declined and we are barely back in Orange Level 1 this week. Thanks for working to bring the county numbers down!!

RMS Schedule for Wednesday.....
We need all students Pre-K through 8th grade parents to come to school tomorrow in order to pick up meals and any textbooks/supplies that teachers want sent home. Please come through the paved parking lot when it is most convenient for you during the following times:
11:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
In addition, we have an additional staff member and their child test positive this evening. Neither of these cases will require any additional quarantine for anyone that is not already notified. On a positive note, multiple staff members tested today and they were all negative!!
I am not able to put this through on a call right now but will ASAP.
Thank you for your continued support and care for others!!

RMS parents......
Thank you everyone in being so diligent in picking up devices today.
1. Orders for school pictures will not be due until September 29th.
2. Pre-K - 2nd students need to follow instructions to change their profile for your student's grade.
3. 3rd - 8th students will log in using their email. Their email is firstlastname@rockymtn.k12.ok.us
4. Students will have messages if they need to log in during certain times for meetings with teachers. Otherwise, students can use a flexible schedule. Students have to log in and complete assignments each day in order to receive credit. Students should complete the assignment before submitting.
5. Lastly, we have had another staff member test positive. Students in grades 3-8 are already quarantined. K-2nd students who were at school Wednesday and Thursday should quarantine through the 25th.
We will continue working together and being honest with each other. I certainly appreciate each of you and the expressions of care and support for our school and staff.

RMS 5-8 - If you have your own computer or laptop at home, you do not need to come today. 😊. Log on using your school email using your own device. We will see you Wednesday.

RMS Parents....
Message 2 of 2
This will not affect any of the students, but I need to notify you that we have had another staff member test positive today. This person's position would not require any students to quarantine. However, I want to be open and honest with you at all times. We are asking for you as parents to notify us when your family comes into contact with a case or if you have to quarantine, and you can expect the same from us. It takes all of us working together to assure that the health and safety of ourselves and others are top priority. Thank you! Rocky Mountain School is blessed with awesome parents who want what is best for everyone involved.
As always, let us know if you have questions or need assistance with anything. After school hours, I can be reached at 918-797-0318.

Message 1 of 2
All Pre-K through 8th grade students will be in distance learning for the next two weeks. No students will be on campus.
Monday
*Pick up your child's device, a hot spot if you are on that list, and instructions for logging into class. All Pre-K - 4th will be better served by using the tablet or computer provided by the school because they are pre-loaded with their apps and/or passwords. 5th - 8th should use their own computer if possible to free up availability for those who don't have their own. Pick up schedule.......
10 - 11, Last name A-H
11 - 12, Last name I - R
12 - 1, Last name S - Z
5 - 7 PM, Working parents or if earlier times don't work with your schedule
* Students will be expected to log in for class each day and complete their assignments in order to receive credit and be counted in attendance. This is not sit and review mode. Your teachers are prepped and will be teaching/assigning regular class assignments each day. The day will be shorter because of things such as recess, lunch, class changes, etc. But their classes and assignments will be that of regular school.
*Because some students will not get their device until late, tomorrow will be short, check-in activities to get both students and parents acclimated.
*Monday is a regular day for students who have been virtual all along.
Wednesday
* Textbooks and supplies will be distributed.
* Meals for Wed - Fri will be distributed to ALL students.
* Distribution times, 11 AM - 2 PM or 5-7 PM. Come at whatever time is best for you.

RMS Reminder................
Today is a NO SCHOOL day. Do not worry about logging in for class.
Distance learning will begin Monday. Additional information will come later.
Stay safe and healthy.

NO pre-K through 2nd grade students have come into contact with the staff member that has tested positive. Students in these grades will NOT need to quarantine unless they have an older sibling in grades 3-8.

RMS Parents,
This is an update concerning notice of a staff member who has tested positive for COVID-19. This staff member is in contact with all 3rd-8th grade students. Therefore, all 3rd-8th grade students will need to quarantine at home for 14 days ending September 24th. It is the recommendation of the health department that siblings to these students quarantine as well.
As always the health and safety of our students and staff, and families are our number one priority. For this reason, as an added layer of precaution, we will be cancelling school tomorrow, September 11th. On Monday September 14th, our entire school will transition to distance learning for two weeks. Additional information will be given later concerning distributing technology devices and meals.
If your child begins to exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, please contact you medical provider for testing. If your child does not exhibit symptoms, there is no need for testing, just quarantine.
As always, our school appreciates our Rocky Mountain parents and community's support. We will continue to face these challenging situations together.
If you need to reach me, you can contact my cell at 918-797-0318.
