Feb 1 5-8 Math, Mrs Reynolds Activity 1 Send me a list of three  activities you did Monday or Tuesday and how many minutes or hours you spent on it ( for example: Reading -3 hours, chores-1 hour, video games - 6 hours) Then write a ratio Hours of fun to hours of work Example:  9 hours of fun / 1 hour of work Activity 2 Go to your kitchen and find a box. Feb 1 5-8 Reading, Mr. Hume Considering the freezing weather around us, create a traditional haiku poem (which are always about nature). This poem must consist of one tercet which is a three line stanza. The first and third lines must have five syllables and the second line must have seven syllables.

Feb 1 5-8 Science, Mr. Hendrix 5th grade write a summary of the causes of climate change . 6th grade write a summary on how thermal energy changes the states of matter. 7th grade write the equations for figuring density, mass and volume ( remember the triangle we used in class). 8th grade make a Venn Digram, comparing and contrasting a plant and animal cell.

Feb 1 4th, Mrs. Davidson Math- write multiplication facts and answers for 6-12 Reading- read for 20 minutes and write about what you read Writing- write a three point paragraph about your three favorite hobbies Science- write about how life would be different with no electricity

Feb 1 3rd, Mrs. Kimble Math- Write fact families for these numbers: 3, 4, 12 -- 6, 8, 48 -- 7, 9, 63 -- 4, 7, 28 -- 9, 4, 36 Reading- Read for 20 minutes then retell what you read or what you learned to an adult Writing- Describe and write about what you would use if you had to build a trap to catch your teacher. (You can draw a picture, if needed) Science- Observe the animals you see outside and write about the ways they get what they need to survive during the winter.

Feb 1st 2nd, Mrs. Avila Reading: Read a story to a parent or sibling with a silly voice. Writing: Write a story about a pet. Math: Write your numbers by 2’s to 100; write your numbers by 5’s to 100; and write your numbers by 10’s to 100. Social Studies: Draw a map of the state of Oklahoma and label our town of Stilwell on your map.

Feb 1st 1st, Mrs. Howe 1. Read for 20 minutes. (Use material available at home). 2. Write a Rainbow Word with each Spelling Word using 3 colors or Write Spelling Words 3 times each. 3. Write addition facts to 10 and practice Instant memory. 4. Write 4 sentences about your favorite animal.

Writing- Write all capital and lowercase letters in the correct formation. Watch the attached video. Math- Practice addition up to 10. 1+ 9= 10 2+6= 8 etc...... Science- Melting 🧊 cubes. Add a few ice cubes in a bowl and set it outside, then add a few ice cubes in a bowl and set it inside your warm home. See which bowl of ice cubes melt faster. Record your results by writing a sentence and drawing a picture. Social studies- Draw a picture of your family. I love you all very much, Mrs.Vann ❤️

Feb 1st T-1, Mrs. Goldman Reading: Read a book with your child, Have them draw a picture and write one sentence about the story. Math: Skip count by 2, then write the even numbers to 100. Social Studies: Write the name of the first president of the United States and write one fact about him.
