RMS 7th grade 😊 Math - choose an additional assignment from the 3 choices given yesterday 😊 Science - Fill a plastic container half full of water set it outside and observe every 30 minutes to see how long it takes to freeze. Write an observation every time they check the container. Example in observation: After 15 minutes water started to become slushy. 😊 English - Revise Tuesdays writing assignment check for punctuation and complete sentences. Draw a picture to go with your story. 😊 Reading - make sure your book reports are completed and make sure your poems are written down and ready to present, for next time we meet in class. RMS 3rd Grade Wednesday Virtual Work: 😊 MATH- make 5 different facts families (ex. 3, 4, 12, 3x4=12, 4×3=12, 12÷4=3, 12÷3=4) 😊 ELA- Write 5 sentences about the weather. (using correct capitals and end punctuation) or write a poem about Snow using rhyming words. 😊 READING- read something for 20 minutes and tell someone what you read about 😊 SCIENCE- Help a family member fix a meal or snack and then write about what you made and the steps you took. RMS 4th grade 😊 Math: write multiplication facts and answers for 1-12 😊 Reading: read for 20 minutes then write about what you read 😊 Writing: write about your three favorite things to do on a snowy day 😊 Science: write about how life would be different with no electricity Stay warm! 💙

RMS Kdg 😊Assist in writing a grocery list. 😊Listen to /read a book. Answer the following questions: Who is the main Character? Where did the story take place? What happened in the beginning- middle- end of the story? What was your favorite part of the story? 😊Solve basic addition problems up to 10. Write the equation on a piece of paper and work problems by using items that you have in your home things such as ;blocks, Legos, beans, cards, etc...! Log answer on paper. 😊Test how quickly snow melts by filling two bowls with snow, leave one outside and bring one inside. Which bowl of snow melts more quickly? 😊Draw a picture of your family using the writing tools that you have.

RMS Families Due to inclement weather, Rocky Mountain School will have a Distance Learning Day, Wednesday, February 19th. Each grade level will receive their assignments through the school messaging system and the school app. Fifth through eighth grade can also log into Google Classroom. Parents, during these low temperatures, remember to open the cabinet doors under the sinks and leave the cold water dripping. 😊

RMS Staff and Parents 🙌🏼 Landon Hebert is home from the hospital and doing well!!! Hope to see him at school by Monday, if not before. He and his mom are so appreciative of the prayers. 🙏🏻 Logan Jackson (a former student) has been missing since early Saturday morning. Talk with your kids. They may have heard something. Any information may be helpful in being able to locate him. Pray for his safe return.

RMS 8th grade English - (2 day assignment) 5 paragraph …What animal would judge us the most? Write scenes (based on truth or fiction) where two or more people are doing something silly, and they're being observed and criticized by animals. Reading - read library book or free choice online for 30 minutes Tuesday and Wednesday History - select three individuals to write a few sentences about, one person from each branch of government, students must include what that person's job is and why they chose them to write about.

RMS 7th grade Reading - complete their book reports consisting of title, author summary, characters, plot, and setting. If they have forgotten their library book they may use a different book, if their book is an informational text they can adapt it over best they can. Geography - summarize a current event effecting Europe. I would like my 6th grade geography to summarize a current event which has a direct effect on North or South America. English - "When I stepped outside, the whole world smelled like…" Write a story that starts with that line.

RMS 5th grade History - write a paragraph noting Benjamin Franklin's contributions to our country. Reading - Read anything of their choice and write a summary. English - List six true sentences that begin with the words “I'll never forget…”

RMS 5-8 Science Predict the amount of snow we will get in inches. Then measure the amount of snow we have at a certain time. But use something besides a ruler or tape measure to measure. (Example a shoe or a piece of paper.) Record the time and give a detailed description of how you measured and what unit of measurement you used. (Make up your own unit of measurement)

3.  Record the data of your day.  List each activity you do throughout the day and how long you spent doing it.   Example:  Fixing and eating my breakfast - coffee and a breakfast cookie 30 min                    Shower and getting dressed for the day - 1 hour or 60 min                    Grading papers - 2 hours                      Reading a book -  1 hour     etc  Make sure you enjoy some time in the snow!!!

2.  List each person in your house and how many shoes each individual owns.  Find the mean of those numbers.  (*remember to find the mean - add all the numbers and divide by how many you numbers that was added) Example:   Reynolds  15 pairs of shoes Husband 7 pairs of shoes Killian 3 pairs of shoes Add 15 + 7 + 3 then divide the answer by 3 because I have added three numbers together. 25 divided by 3 is 8 and 1/3  See next post
